Google Algorithm Update: Why You Shouldn’t Rely Solely on AI to Write Content

In March this year, Google rolled out its latest core algorithm update, raising the bar for content creators and SEO professionals.

While artificial intelligence (AI) technology is becoming increasingly widespread

this algorithm change highlights the importance of content quality, especially concerning AI-generated content.

Google hasn’t outright banned the use of AI-generated content, but it has made it clear that a page’s ranking depends on the

quality and usefulness of the content, rather than how it’s created.

The algorithm places a stronger focus on expertise, authority, and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T).

If a page relies solely on AI to stuff keywords or produce meaningless text that appears coherent but lacks depth,

Google will likely classify it as low-quality content. Instead of boosting rankings, this type of content may result in penalties.

There are risks involved in using AI to generate content.

While AI can quickly produce large volumes of text, without careful editing and optimization, the content can easily contain inaccuracies

irrelevance, or even misinformation. These issues not only harm the user experience but may also violate Google’s spam policies.

Google has made it clear that if the primary purpose of AI-generated content is to manipulate search rankings, it will be considered a violation.
